I'm still here. I just haven't felt like blogging.
Our family had a very hard week. My husband's brother passed away late Saturday night. It was unexpected and quite frankly a shock. It has been so hard going through this and even harder watching my husband and our family go through this. I feel helpless.
But God is good and doesn't make mistakes. All I can do is pray that he will help me through this and help his family be comforted in this hard time.
I really want to do something for his family in the way of knitting, but I'm not sure what. I just want to use my talents somehow to comfort them. I was thinking of knitting a big throw with his name in it or something along those lines. But I'm not sure if that is even a good idea. I guess I'll think on it a bit more. If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them.
I felt like I should let you all know whats been going on. Hopefully I'll feel like crafting again soon.
Thank you in advanced for your prayers!

What about a prayer shawl for his mother?
I am so sorry to read about your loss. I can only imagine how difficult it is for your husband, yourself and your family. Take care of yourself.
I am so very sorry for your loss...I second the idea of a prayer shawl, I have always felt they provide loving comfort for those in need.
i think an afghan is a good idea but they take FOREVER to knit or crochet up. soo i'd go with a prayer shawl. I think that means you pick a shawl and start making it and as you knit you just pray over each stitch.. i could be wrong though.
anyways did you get my message on your cell?
love ya
Oh my goodness Jessica, I'm so so sorry. What a tragedy. My heart goes out to you and your family - you will all be in my thoughts.
What about a quilt made out of some of his shirts? It would be easy to do, and you can use my sewing machine....
Our thoughts and prayers have been with you throughout the week. I'm so sorry for your loss...
(((HUG)))
My heart goes out to you and your family, dealing with the shock must be very hard on everyone. Maybe you could knit an afghan for his parents to use, and it will help you with your grieving too, or otherwise a prayer shawl sounds wonderful too. My thoughts go out to you with lots of hugs.
I'm very sorry to read about this, I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. *hugs* take care
((hugs)) ((hugs)) Our family is praying for all of you. 'trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding' It's gotta be hard girl. ((hugs)) I'm sure whatever you decide to make his family will love it! ((hugs)) ((hugs))
