I LOVE this pattern, so pretty and its very stretchy too! Oh and don't get me started on the yarn, I've been wanting to try Cherry Tree Hill out for the longest time, and I'm soooo happy I did. Its so squishy and soft, I will definitely be buying more! I got it from The Loopy Ewe. Love that place too, If only I had a bigger yarn budget ;O)








Here they are on my homemade sock blockers. Notice the way the colors pooled differently on each sock. At first it bothered me but now I don't really care, if I wanted matching socks I'll go out and buy some. They scream I'm a hand knit pair of socks!












After the photo shoot this morning, I haven't taken them off. So comfy and warm! Here they are on the pumpkins on our front porch steps.

Now I need to figure out what pair of socks I'm to knit for November... Leah's been asking for some.... hmmm

I think I can!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can,I think I can, I think I can..... Only two more days, but I just might finish in time! I've been knitting like crazy.

Is it weird that the color stripes are different?! My gauge is the same... hmmm

Oh and here is a sneak peek at some superwash roving I bought from my LYS, I dyed it with kool aid. Hopefully it will become socks:O)

That retreat last weekend was just what I needed! I didn't get as much done as I hoped to but it was so relaxing! It is so awesome getting to know people on a deeper level. Out at LLBC you actually have time to really talk, I LOVE it! We all decided that we need to figure out how to get out there every other month.... We'll see how that goes!



I worked a bit on my pomatomus socks... then when I got home realized that I didn't transfer 3sts and had to rip out part of some decreased on the gusset the heel turn and the heel flap...



But I was able to work on them while two friends and I were out on the paddle boats, they paddled and I got to just sit there and knit :O) I swear I didn't plan it like that!




So here are some pics of the scenery out on the lake, so pretty. If you can remember the pictures I took and posted about in September... same place just different colors.

But then again who wouldn't?








I also spun all the fiber I brought out there! and then remembered that I needed to wash and set it before I could knit with it... But at least its all spun up! And I did knit all the the yarn I had spun previously... I'm hoping that I'll have enough yarn to make this cardigan/shrug to my liking. Oh and just in case, I Navajo plyed it, I really like the way it turned out, I can't wait to wear my first handspun hand knit garment!

And here is how far I've gotten on the pomatomus sock. I'm hoping to finish this one and knit the next one by the end of October... HA, I know, funny. But I'm going to try! For the SAM4 kal... I've got six days, I better get of this computer and go knit, I mean make lunch for the kids, then knit ;O) Wish me luck, or am I just crazy?!

I'm sorry if I scared any of you away... I didn't mean too. I'm feeling better now, it was just one of those days! But thanks for all of your concern :O)

I'm really excited to be heading out to my crafter's retreat tomorrow, TOMORROW!!! Yippee, I can't wait! Now all I need to do is figure out what all I'm going to bring to get my craft on.

*the wheel ( + accessories)
*10.6 oz of rose colored roving (for the handspun cardigan)





I don't want to over do it... but I think this will be plenty to keep me busy!

That's how I feel today. I was up at 3:30, went to work, came home, did some shopping, picked G up from school, fed them lunch, TRIED to put them all down for a nap. But that didn't happen. So I left them up in their room while i did my bible study(I'm tring to stay on track, the kids aren't cooperating) I threw some veggies and meat in the crock pot for dinner. L fell asleep, G and C didn't. Then C did! Then G woke her up. argh. I started to fold 3+ loads of laundry. They have been driving me crazy lately. Horrible I know. I would just like a few minutes to myself in a day, when I don't get that I feel a bit claustrophobic. Usually Hubby has off on Mondays for a care group, we go to every other week. Today he has to work. Actually its because he asked off for Friday and Saturday. Which is a good thing! I get to go away to a crafters retreat. I should be more excited than I am today.






I'm going to try and perk myself up by blogging.









Last week Hubby and I went with G on his first Field trip! We visited a local apple orchard. It was also his first time on a school bus, He loved it!















It was fun to see him interact with other kids outside of home and under the authority of someone other than us.





On the knitting front I've been busy knitting on a handspun cardigan for me and a little purple one for L.



I don't have a good picture of mine yet.... I'll get around to it sometime.








Oh I finally sent out my HSS2 socks to my pal Sophie, and she got them, so now I can post pics of them!

And here they are off of them along with some stitch markers I made to match them! I love them so much, I love the mix-matchiness of them! I just hope they fit her well, I've not made socks for a stranger... She just sent me a quick e-mail saying that she got them and loved everything, but she had to go to work so it wasn't a lenghty message...

The pattern was conwy from Knitting on the Road. I really liked the pattern, and will definitely knit them again!

Just a quick Post

I have been knitting I just haven't been on the computer much. When I am I've been updating my stash and projects on Ravelry...



I banged these out in the last week for one of my best friends. We had talked about making a blankie with tags on it. So I made this Baby Genus Burp cloth from Mason Dixon Knitting, and sewn some bits of satin ribbon on the corners.








Babies always play with the tags on things and I think the soon to be little one will love it!









I decided a few weeks ago that I should organize and throw a shower for her.... I've been a little busy. It was last night and it went well! It was a surprise, it was fun! I'm glad its over, I'd never thrown a party before, I was stressed for a few days ;O)
