I miss blog land, and wish I had axcess to the internet at home... I don't so here I am weeks after my last post. I haven't been up to much. Only the normal getting things ready for baby #3. Its only ten days away, I can hardly belive it. We put the crib up in our room and got everything situatated. All I have to do now is pack a bag for the hospitial and one for the kids who are going to be staying with grandma and grandpa. My mom was abel to take off the whole week after my schedualed c-section. That will be super nice, I never have to worry about the kids when they are with my parents, it really puts my mind at ease.
I have made a few things for baby #3. A boy and girl hat. Both of witch are super cute, and I'll be proud to put either one on our new little baby. The other thing I made was a pair of tiny baby booties. Yes it is another pair of toasty tootsies :) I tell you, they are the easiest things to make. I took measurments of Gabe and Leah's baby footprints to make sure they will be a somewhat acurate size.
My mother asked me to make her 2 pair of the toasty tootsies for a co-worker's son and nephew. I did them as quickly as possible so I could get back to my main task this month... Which is spinning. I'm sad to say I haven't taken any pictures of it so far. But there has been good progress on it. I'm hoping to get most of the 4ish pound bag of roving done before the baby comes. I must say this month is going by quickly, only one more week.
My knitting classes went very well. I don't belive they are over already. The ladies in my purse class are so sweet! At the second class they had made the cutest cake for me. It was a 9in round, double layer, with white frosting and cute little ducks around it. The ducks were cut out cookies with yellow frosting a metalic balls for eyes. It was so yummy too. And to top it all off they made me take the rest of it home for the family. They also gave me a baby gift. I wish I would have had my camera along, but sorry no pictures. I had these same ladies in my begining to knit class, and they want to take the toasty tootsies class as soon as I'm ready after the baby. They are the most fun class ever, I'm going to miss them when there is nothing left for me to teach.
Last week we finally got some snow! after a few months of a non-winter it is finally white in Wisconsin! We got the kids all bundled up and took them out to play. They each have thier own little snow shoves, and love to help:)

My new spot!
I've been quite busy out at the shop the past week or so. I was out there every other day or so last week! I had the slipper sock class on Friday and Saturday. It went really well. I only had to teach two ladies, but I almost like it better that way, more one on one time. I knit up a pair with them and did a child size 9 in a dusty rose color. Gabe was nice enough to model them for me. He don't care about color yet:) Then on Tuesday I started my purse class. It was so much fun. The ladies in this class are a blast, they even brought a bottle of wine! The class is a total of three Tuesdays. I made them all some beaded stitch markers (and forgot to take a picture of them) they all loved them. What fun ladies, I sure could do that for a living... One can wish...
Ok now on to the good stuff, the thing that I've been pumped about for the last week!~
We finally took our tree down, and man does it look spacious in out living room! There was a little re-arranging going on too. I was so excited. Alright let me explain. We moved our big chair into the corner and there was room on the sides of it for my spinning wheel to kept there permanently! I normally would use it and then haul it back into the office out of sight from the kidos. Now its tucked in behind the chair and easily accessible!(for someone who don't have a huge tummy poking out) I thought you'd all like to see my prego belly from my point of view. He he, I just threw that in for fun! I also moved my spinning spot from the sofa to the big chair, both are comfy but now I have my own spot! Hubby didn't really like it when I would use the sofa because I'd take up lots of room around it with all my stuff. So we are all happy campers now! It makes me so happy to know that my wheel has its very own spot.
I finished the big bag of roving I was spinning. I weighed it all and it came out to 32.125 oz. I can't believe I spun it all. I didn't think I'd ever finish it, but I did. So I got another big bag (from Brigitte) to spin. This roving is black, and I can't wait to get started!
Tonight is knitting at the shop so I'll be out there yet again, what a good feeling!

A new year.
So its 2007 already... Can you believe it?! I already have 2 FO's. I'm teaching two different classes at the yarn shop and Brigitte asked if I'd knit up some samples for the shop. Of course I said yes and for some reason I get motivated to knit for others, way more than I do for myself. Last Saturday I ran out to the shop and got the yarn, and by spinning night on Tuesday both projects were finished.
The first was yet another pair of Toastie tootsies, the toe up slipper socks. We (the shop) just got a new line of yarn in, Brown Sheep's Lambs Pride, Its a fabulous wool with just a touch of mohair in it to give a glow to your knitting. Brigitte picked out the color, one I never would have chose myself. While knitting it I grew to love the color. After felting them I tried them on and debated not bringing them to the shop. Seriously. But I did size them for Brigitte, and did tell her that I would knit them for her, so I did give them to her, reluctantly. She loves them!
Secondly I knit up a purse that I wrote the pattern for. Remember the brick red and brown one form a month or so ago?! Well anyways I made a new one for the shop. I finished it just in time to go spinning on Tuesday. It came out of the washer about an hour before I left.
Spinning was so much fun. I love spinning at home, but there is just something about being with other spinners, you feel like part of a community. Although it was sort of bitter sweet. Spinning is always the first Tuesday of the month, and this was my last one. My C section is scheduled for February 5th which is a Monday. I don't think I'll be able to go for a while with a new little baby.
I can't believe how fast it's coming. Only a month left! I sure can feel it though. At the beginning of the day I'm alright but as it gets later my body starts to hurt. This little guy or girl has its feet lodged in my right rib cage and it hurts like nothing I've ever known. My other two kids did the same thing. Its like they all knew to do it... argh. hehe.

I'm going to make some hats, one boyish and one girlie for the baby to come home in. What kind of knitter would I be if I didn't make the baby something to come home in?! A nice warm little hat. I also want to get started on some mittens for the kids, thanks to Christy. I really like the pattern she linked. Its cute and looks easy. Leah gets jealous of Gabe because she doesn't have thumbs, all she has are mitts. Poor little girl. What's a mother to do....thats easy, Knit!
